See
South of Lake Markkleeberg, connected by the canoe park lock, is the 700 hectare Störmthaler Lake.

South of Lake Markkleeberg is its big brother, Lake Störmthal. The mining technology park is a visible attraction from afar. You can visit the floating cultural island VINETA by ferry. 3D archery, motorboat rides, sailing trips, windsurfing and spectacular flights with the VINETA-Fly are possible on Lake Störmthal. Every year in August, the three-day "Highfield" festival takes place with live acts from rock to hip hop and up to 35.000 visitors. The LAGOVIDA holiday resort ensures relaxed holidays right on the water.
