More than 50 animals of 20 different species are housed in Geithain Park, which has been lovingly cared for for 40 years.

A lovingly tended animal park has been located in the heart of Geithain Park for 40 years. Llamas, ponies, donkeys, goats, and miniature pigs are among the animals kept here. A total of more than 50 animals of 20 different species are housed here.

In addition to a playground, there are plenty of places to sit within the park for quiet and relaxing moments. With prior registration, you can help out as a junior zookeeper and children's birthdays can also be celebrated at Geithain Zoo.

Note: Dogs on a leash are allowed.

Arrival & Parking

By public transport: From Leipzig main station, take the S-Bahn line S6, the RE6 or the RB113 to Geithain (approx. 8 minutes walk).

By car: Take the A72 to Rodaer Dorfstraße/B7 in Frohburg, exit the A72, and follow the B7 to the zoo. Free parking is available near the zoo entrance.
