Volkshaus Döbeln

The Volkshaus is a place rich in tradition. Events were held in a previous building, then called the Schützenhaus, as early as 1702. The Volkshaus was built in its current form in 1887. Then, as now, it is a social center for Döbeln and the entire region. Dance class balls, school graduation parties, company events, carnival sessions and many music events take place here. Every year more institutions and organizations also hold their Saxony-wide conferences or similar here.

The building has been extensively renovated and modernized in recent years. There is a very large, free car park right next to the building on Steigerhausplatz, which is also easily suitable for buses. It is only a few steps to the lively city center.

The large hall has a maximum capacity of 400 seats, but can be adapted for smaller events using partition walls. 
The house also has a fireplace room with 40 seats and a bowling alley with four lanes and 25 seats (reservations on 03431 6069194). There is no restaurant in the Volkshaus itself, but external catering can easily be arranged. If required, the operator can also arrange for catering companies.
