Wurzen City Park
The Wurzen city park, which still shows the basic features of a public park from the Wilhelminian era, invites you to take long walks under shady, extensive trees.
The park in the north of the city was built in 1879 on a 16-hectare field and is a place of relaxation and recreation for young and old. Created by Commercial Councillor Juel, the park was expanded in four construction periods. The idyllic pond with fountain and grotto attracts many visitors. Well-kept park paths through 18-meter-high, extensive trees and extensive green areas invite you to take a walk. The medieval-looking round tower made of quarry stone with a tin wreath and attached turret was built in 1888. There are two playgrounds for children and a tennis court for sports enthusiasts.
