Community gardening is possible on an area of 1000 square meters in the east of Leipzig. Querbeet Leipzig is a community garden that offers residents and anyone interested in the urban environment of Leipzig city center an opportunity to engage with nature and food production. The beds are divided up among the hobby gardeners. There are also bed sponsorships for social institutions such as kindergartens. In addition to the daily work, Querbeet also hosts various events such as film screenings, educational days or concerts. During opening hours, everyone is welcome to the colorful garden project and the associated school garden on Bernhardinplatz without prior registration.
