The Bio City Leipzig technology and start-up center is a research center that combines business, science and research. The area, which opened in 2003, covers 20.000 m² and is used three quarters by biotechnology companies and one quarter by the Biotechnology-Biomedical Center of the University of Leipzig. Together with the university's professors, young and future-oriented companies can set new standards in the areas of biotechnology, biomedicine and health care. The numerous office and laboratory spaces provide optimal conditions for successfully developing future technologies.
