The permanent exhibition of the Contemporary History Forum is dedicated to the history of division and unity, the dictatorship and the resistance in the Soviet occupation zone and the GDR. Numerous video and sound stations as well as interactive media encourage visitors to immerse themselves in the historical atmosphere and make history an experience for young and old.
The contemporary history forum offers children and families educational opportunities such as the "Westpaket" workshop, various topic folders for schoolchildren to explore independently, or age-appropriate guidance through the exhibition.
