With a rich forest landscape, the Wyhra with lush floodplains and dreamy ponds, you will still encounter a piece of untouched nature here, which you can discover on numerous cycling and hiking trails.
Parts of the municipality have been declared a landscape conservation area. The "Eschefelder Teiche" nature and bird sanctuary is arguably one of the most famous in Saxony. Our town owes its title "Gateway to the Kohrener Land" to its scenic beauty.
Culturally and historically valuable buildings and tourist attractions include the wonderful Frohburg Castle with its museum, the Prießnitz Manor with its agricultural exhibition, and the Farmers' Town Hall, built in 1712. The Potter's Girl statue and the Potter's Fountain in Kohren-Sahlis symbolize the long-standing tradition of the pottery craft and the work of the ceramist Kurt Feuerriegel in his hometown. If you visit Frohburg in western Saxony for the first time, you will be surprised. Behind its bourgeois facade awaits a charming little town, worth seeing for many reasons. Whether you are a nature lover, a fan of historical sights, seeking relaxation or sports and action – there is something for every taste. Numerous leisure activities are available for a day trip or vacation. A modern campsite in the heart of the Pahna Forest is one of these, as is the beautifully situated Frohburg natural outdoor pool surrounded by porphyry cliffs.
