The "Green Kayak" project, which originates from Denmark, has finally been based in Leipzig since May 2024. You can paddle for 2 hours free of charge along Leipzig's idyllic canals - and help the environment at the same time. During your trip, you collect rubbish in the rubbish bin integrated on board. The rubbish is then disposed of on land in the rubbish bins provided at the boat rental companies.
Initiated by the Common Good Economy of Central Germany eV, the Green Kayaks can be rented at 3 different boat rental companies in Leipzig. These include the "Stadthafen Leipzig", "Bootsverleih Klingerweg" and the "Boat Shop and Rental Herold".
