Heckel-Haus Döbeln

The painter, expressionist and co-founder of the artists' association "Brücke", Erich Heckel, was born on July 31, 1883 in the house at Niedermarkt 15. 
As the owner of the building, the Kreissparkasse Döbeln feels particularly committed to this valuable heritage. In the Heckel House, some of Heckel's outstanding works are presented in an architecturally stimulating setting. The town of Döbeln with the Kleine Galerie and the Heckel Friends' Circle are also strongly committed to this cultural heritage.
