In 1911, the Erbs brickworks began producing bricks from alluvial clay for the regional market. During the season from spring to winter, ten to twelve men and women did the hard work for the Erbs and Zobel families. The drying shed and kiln have been preserved in almost their original condition. The bucket chain excavator, tipping wagon track and ring kiln can still be admired today, as can the storks on the furnace. Bricks are made by hand during tours for groups of visitors. The technical monument is open on Sundays from 13 p.m. to 16 p.m. Further appointments and group visits on request.
