Johannapark
Johanna Park is located in Leipzig's western suburbs. It is best known for its pond with a small island and two bridges, as well as the view of the City Skyscraper and the tower of the New Town Hall. The park was created between 1858 and 1863 by the Leipzig entrepreneur and banker Wilhelm Theodor Seyfferth to commemorate his daughter Johanna, who died at a young age and, according to legend, died of a broken heart.
