Originally built between 1843 and 48 by Urban Kreutzbach (1796-1868) as a two-manual mechanical organ with 34 stops, it underwent a major reconstruction in 1891 by Richard Kreutzbach (1839-1903). II/29. During this period, a new console was built and the mechanical action was replaced with a pneumatic system. The keyboard range was expanded to C-f''' and the pedalboard from C-d'. The crecendo roller installed for this purpose was removed in 1952. In 1928, the organ was again re-arranged and fitted with an electric blower. In 1989, a general overhaul was carried out by Orgelbau Hermann Eule, Bautzen.
