The Kleine Joachimsthal was one of the most famous inns in Leipzig in the 18th century.

The narrow Kleines Joachimsthal commercial building is connected to the house at Kleine Fleischergasse 8 and was one of the headquarters for Leipzig cloth merchants. During the Second World War, the building was largely destroyed and was only restored in 1996 and 1997 and expanded with a modern new building.

The facade of the house is made of sandstone and has large windows. The impressive appearance is trumped by the three-storey bay window and a segmental arch gable.
