Museum Schloss Frohburg
Frohburg Castle is one of Saxony's culturally and historically valuable monuments. Since 1974, the Frohburg Museum Its home is in this historic building, which is also the oldest building in the town of Frohburg. The museum conveys the architectural history of the castle and presents attractive and unique permanent exhibitions featuring art ceramics by Kurt Feuerriegel and historical household items.
The Castle Until 1945, it formed the center of one of the largest manor houses in Saxony. The present four-winged complex originated from a medieval castle dating back to around 1200. Five major construction phases, from the Romanesque to the Classical period/19th century, are accessible to visitors. Classically painted rooms, an impressive vaulted cellar, and the adjacent English-style park invite visitors on a fascinating journey through time.
Museum education programs Furthermore, the museum is a popular educational, cultural and leisure institution, offering programs for children and young people as well as a "Historical School Lesson for Adults".
The "Hunter's RoomThe adjoining kitchen is available for private functions of up to 30 people. Frohburg Castle is a member of the Castles and Gardens of Saxony association and an acceptance point for the Saxony Volunteer Card. Weddings can be held in the neoclassical picture gallery from May to September; appointments can be made through the Frohburg registry office.

By public transport: From Leipzig Central Station, take the S3 S-Bahn line to Frohburg station. From Frohburg, Bahnhof (bus) stop, take bus line 510 to Frohburg, Markt stop. From there it's about a 6-minute walk.
By car: Coming from Leipzig, take the A72 to the Borna Süd exit. Continue via Leipziger Straße in Borna, Hauptstraße, Straße des Friedens, S51 and Von-Falkenstein-Straße to Florian-Geyer-Straße in Frohburg.
