Promenadenring

The Promenadenring is a series of green spaces around the city center of Leipzig that is unparalleled in the region's major cities. Small and large parks line up here, inviting you to take excursions and linger.

As you walk around the completely enclosed city center, you will also find numerous monuments to Leipzig personalities along the way. The ring symbolizes the former wall around the old town as well as the entrance gates and the former city moat. If you look at Leipzig from above, the green ring is even more clearly visible.
