Wilhelm Rühle (1932 - 1988) and his company were commissioned to build the new organ, which was finally inaugurated in 1977.
During extensive restoration work on the church in the 60s, including the renovation of the church tower, a new organ was planned and the Wilhelm Rühle company was commissioned to build it. The organ replaces a lost instrument from 1841. In 1996/97, the organ was restored by the Christian Scheffler organ workshop. Concerts are regularly held in the church in the summer.
