Kurpark Bad Lausick with open-air stage Schmetterling

The Bad Lausick spa park was laid out in the English style around 1880. It impresses with its beautiful and old trees. The large rhododendron bushes add a splash of color in spring. The rose garden is particularly beautiful when the roses are in bloom in summer. Numerous benches and the putti group with a pergola invite you to linger. The autumnal coloring of the leaves on the trees creates a special atmosphere and even a snow-covered spa park has its charms.

The center of the park is the open-air stage "Butterfly." Guests and residents of Bad Lausick gave it this name because of its unusual shape. Inaugurated on the occasion of the town's 900th anniversary in June 1996, events such as spa concerts have been held there every year since then at the start of the open-air season. But the stage is also the venue for major events such as the annual fountain festival.

The pavilion spans a floor area of ​​8 x 54 meters at a maximum height of 65 meters. Under the wings of the "butterfly" there are two stages, artists' dressing rooms, a snack bar, storage rooms and a disabled-accessible toilet facility.

In 2021, the park was expanded to include a Kneipp spa park. Here you will find a wading pool, a fitness course and fountains, among other things.

The park is open to the public.
