The swimming pool, which was renovated in 2006, focuses primarily on swimmers and on learning to swim under supervision, due to its large sports pool (310 m²).
A small children's paddling pool (10 m²) with water slide, water stairs and spray jets is intended to provide mother and child with an appropriate range of activities given the spatial conditions.
Wurzen's modern indoor swimming pool is located on Lüptitzer Straße, very close to the Magnus-Gottfried-Lichtwer-Gymnasium and the outdoor sports facilities of the city of Wurzen. It is also easily accessible by public transport thanks to a bus stop nearby.
