In 1883, a massive tower windmill was built on the Mühlenberg in Paschwitz. Without a wind rose, the mill had to be held in the wind by hand. In 1933, miller Ernst Friedemann acquired the mill and had extensive renovations carried out in 1938, 1946 and 1965. After storm damage to the blades in 1968, the mill was only operated electrically. Miller Edgar Friedemann, who had run the small mill business since 1975 and was the last commercial windmill operator in the region until the end of 1997, had the mill building reconstructed and fitted with blades again in 1991/92. Today, tours of the mill are offered. The cozy miller's parlor invites you to linger. Events are held in the mill barn and on the mill yard.
