With a height of 15 metres, the VINETA on Lake Störmthal is currently the highest floating structure on a German lake and is a reminder of the places that had to make way for open-cast lignite mining.
The "floating church" can be reached as a tourist destination with the VINETA ferry and can be rented for exclusive events, conferences and private parties. The Krystallpalast Varieté Leipzig organizes concerts and readings and conducts weddings together with the Großpösna registry office.

From Leipzig Central Station, take the S-Bahn lines S4, S5, S5X, or S6 to Markkleeberg. From Markkleeberg S-Bahn station, take bus line 106 to Auenhain and then continue with bus line 141 to VINETA-Bistro/Störmthaler See. Or from Borna S-Bahn station, take bus line 141 to VINETA-Bistro/Störmthaler See.
Alternatively, from Leipzig Central Station take tram line 15 to Probstheida and then bus line 141 to VINETA-Bistro/Störmthaler See.
By car:
Coming from the A38: Take the Leipzig Süd-Ost exit on the A38 and drive towards Störmthal/Espenhain. Follow the main road and follow the signs for "VINETA/Störmthaler See/Magdeborner Halbinsel" until you turn right onto "Alte F95."
Coming from the B95: Take the Espenhain exit and follow the signs toward Störmthal. Approximately 95 km after leaving Espenhain, turn left onto "Alte F2" and follow it to the end.
