water playground at the Karl-Heine-Kanal
The water playground on the Karl-Heine Canal under the Gießerbrücke is mainly known to those who paddle past in a canoe or are on the move by bike.
Young visitors have the opportunity to pump water from the Karl-Heine Canal, twelve metres away, into a system consisting of three gutters and three aqueducts with a total length of 25 meters to transport and to stow in a variety of ways
However, on very sunny days the playground is not recommended and there are no toilets nearby.

From Lindenau it is only a 8-minute walk from the Henriettenstraße stop on tram lines 15 or 7. The same distance from the Plagwitz stop Karl-Heine-/Gießerstraße, which can be reached by tram line 14.
The nearest federal highway is the B87. There are no parking spaces directly at the playground, but there are in the surrounding streets.
However, the best way to get there is by bike, as the water playground on the Karl-Heine Canal is right next to the bike path.
