Wildpark Leipzig

Zoo/Animal Park
The Leipzig Wildlife Park is a center for recreation, research and conservation of endangered native animal species and makes them accessible to the south of Leipzig.

Located in the southern floodplain forest in Leipzig's Connewitz district, one of the city's most beautiful recreational areas is the Leipzig Wildlife Park. Covering an area of 42 hectares, it is home to approximately 25 animal species and up to 250 wild animals from Central Europe.

The zoo is an attractive destination for families with children, as all animal species can be easily observed thanks to their spacious enclosures. The park's status as a center for recreation is reinforced by the numerous cycling and hiking trails on which you can discover the forest and its inhabitants. Playgrounds and the wildlife park restaurant round off every trip to the wildlife park.
