With the opening of the Poetry Trail, a new destination has been created in the northern Leipzig region, bordering the town of Dommitzsch. It is a nearly 5 km circular route from the town to the city forest and back. The trail can be comfortably completed in just under two hours. Along the route, 2 wooden panels with poems about nature and the forest are located. Additional panels will be added to the trail regularly. The content of the poems and the poetry can be better understood and experienced in nature. This trail is also suitable for cyclists.

Directions
Starting at the meadow/parking lot on Töpferweg, leave the town heading west. Töpferweg continues into Dahlenberger Weg and continues to the small pond, Feldschacht/Tongrube. Then turn left onto the idyllic Dorfstraße. Continue along Dorfstraße to Mahlitzsch, then follow Mahlitzschwer Weg/Heidekammweg until you reach the residential area of Dommitzsch, where you'll return to the starting point on the left.
