The route leads past the train station, along the city park with the lovingly designed zoo, to the castle hill with the St. Mary's Church and the Sorbenturm. Other highlights worth seeing are Saxony's only lowland ski jump and the post mile post on Butzbacher Platz. In the city center, the city museum, the market square with the Eilenburg town hall and the St. Nikolai church can be visited. At several locations, steles of the Camera Historica allow a view of parts of the city before the destruction at the end of the Second World War.
