Directions

We turn left on B2 shortly before the Mulde Bridge to stay on the Mulde Cycle Path. Alternatively, we can cycle into the picturesque spa town. Shortly after the Mulde Bridge, the tourist information office is on the left, with the 1000-year-old Düben Castle directly behind it, offering a fantastic view. Back on the cycle path, we follow the river past the Altenhof estate and the "Red Bank" on the other side of the Mulde. We follow the river's course, passing the dyke path north of Löbnitz. We cross both the Alte Mulde and the Lober-Leine Canal before we inconspicuously cross the state border into Saxony-Anhalt and reach the L139 main road, which we cross. Before us now lies the Große Goitzschesee. The lake, which originated from a former open-cast mining area, is now a popular and lively local recreation area. We must visit the Goitzsche Landscape Park on the Pouch Peninsula. Back on the bike path, we continue to follow the beach closely to the Bernsteinsee lido. Here we turn right and cross the B 100. We now continue straight ahead and at the end of the Mulde reservoir north of Friedersdorf, turn left onto Kraftwerksstraße. We follow the road through a railway underpass. Initially, we keep left and at the next junction, turn right, heading north until we reach the main road L 139 again. Here we turn left onto the main road and follow it for about 300 meters. [We now turn left again onto Zur Luther Linde street. We follow the road and cross the Mulde river and the Leine cut-through.] Attention detour: Instead of turning onto "Zur Luther Linde" (Luther Linde), we follow Jeßnitzer Straße to Roßdorf, where we turn right onto Altjeßnitzer Straße at the end of the village. In Altjeßnitz, we reach the end of the stage.
