Nestled in the heart of Saxony's largest fruit-growing region lies the Fruit Country Cycle Route, a circular route winding through a landscape rich in cultural history. Its 58 kilometers connect the towns of Mügeln, Leisnig, and Dürrweitzschen, where the long tradition of fruit cultivation can be experienced in diverse ways. While the Mügeln area focuses on the history of the fruit-growing region, and Leisnig sheds light on the lives and work of the monks of that era, Dürrweitzschen offers insights into current production processes. Thus, the Fruit Country Cycle Route comprises... three The route combines thematically different sub-routes and can therefore be cycled via three shorter sub-stages or a longer, outer circular route.
