The Wyhratal cycle route leads from the Schömbach dam past the pottery towns of Kohren-Sahlis and Frohburg and further through the beautiful village of Wyhra, which stands out with its story farm.
Not only the route, which mainly runs along forest and cycle paths, but also the discovery tips offer the perfect starting point for a lovely family outing.

Directions
The cycle tour starts at the Schömbach Dam and initially leads northeast through the small town of Altmörbitz to Rudigsdorf. From there, the route continues via Kohren-Sahlis through the Streitwald nature reserve to Frohburg. Past the Frohburg outdoor swimming pool and St. Michaelis Church, the route then continues northwest toward Benndorf. The route continues via Wyhra and Zedtlitz to Borna. After passing the Borna market town, the route continues from Bahnhofsstraße onto Wettinstraße and out of Borna. Past the Lobstädt reservoir, the cycle path follows the federal highway for a short section before finally reaching Neukieritzsch.

Arrival & Parking
Altmörbitz is located roughly halfway between Leipzig and Chemnitz.
From Leipzig, take the dual-lane B95 towards Chemnitz. After a few kilometers, the B95 merges seamlessly into the A72. Take the A72 to the Borna-Süd exit. Continue towards Zedtlitz/Frohburg/Chemnitz. Drive through Frohburg on the main road. Nine kilometers beyond Frohburg, you'll pass directly through Altmörbitz.
From Dresden/Chemnitz:
Take the Penig exit from the A72. Continue towards Frohburg/Leipzig. 12 kilometers beyond Penig, you'll reach Altmörbitz.

Directions to Altmörbitz:
Take the S-Bahn or train to Markkleeberg, then continue by S-Bahn to Frohburg, train station. Then take bus 265 towards Altmörbitz (Kohren-Sahlis), parking lot.
From Neukieritzsch back to Altmörbitz:
Take the S6 (towards Geithain) to Frohburg, then change to bus 265 towards Altmörbitz (Kohren-Sahlis), parking lot.
