The Stone Path, a themed hiking trail, leads over the Pöppelmann Bridge from the old town of Grimma, parallel to the Mulde River to Höfgen. Hikers pass the town forest, the Rabenstein, which offers a wide view of the river landscape, and the stone cliffs. The path is lined with sculptures by well-known artists. The village of the senses is a real experience with its old farmsteads, orchards and the wild and romantic Mulde. From Höfgen, you take a hand-operated cable ferry to Nimbschen, paving the way past the famous monastery ruins back to the town of Grimma.
The varied route is suitable for young and old, hiking groups and solo hikers. East of the Mulde river, a section follows paved paths, which is also suitable for families with strollers and balance bikes.
