Directions

From the station, the path leads to the town center through the Schwanenteich Park, past the Luther Monument and the Frauenkirche. Upon reaching the town center, it crosses the Pöppelmann Bridge to the other side of the Mulde. The path then runs between the city forest and the Mulde heading south. On the right, there is a view of Gattersburg Castle and the suspension bridge of Grimma. The path goes through the forest along the Langer Grund and finally up to the Rabenstein. After a few steps down, it continues again on an asphalt path along the Mulde until reaching the Schiffsmühle, to the right of Jutta Park. The path "Zur Schiffsmühle" now leads into the Höfgen district. Passing the watermill and again heading towards the Mulde, the west bank side is crossed. A few steps through the forest, and the Klosterschänke at Nimbschen Monastery is soon reached. Between the forest edge and Harthgrundbach, the path continues north until the Nimbschen and Colditzer country roads are crossed. The right turn leads directly to Gattersburg Castle and back to the starting point at Schwanenteich Park.
