Directions
The Georoute starts at the Markleeberg East lake promenade on the lower shore path and runs east. The path leads directly along the water, past Auenhain Beach and the Markleeberg Canoe Park. Turn right onto "Zum Wildwasser" road and follow the path. Cross the canal bridge over the Kleine Pleiße River and follow the path along the water to the entrance of the Mining Technology Park. Then return to the canal bridge, past the stone adventure playground on the shore of Lake Störmthal. At the next fork, keep right until you reach Plum Avenue, where you turn right again. Continue straight ahead along the shore of Lake Störmthal for a while. Tip: Keep following the shore of the lake; you can't miss the path. The last stops are Störmthal Harbor, the Magdeborn Peninsula, and Vineta.

Arrival & Parking
For drivers, Markkleeberg is easily accessible from all directions via the A14, A9, and A38 motorways. Furthermore, the A72 provides excellent connections between Chemnitz and Leipzig.
A total of three exits from the federal highway 3 provide quick access to the individual districts of Markkleeberg.
Directions to the lake promenade:
B 2 to the Markkleeberg exit, continue on Seenallee towards Markkleeberg-Ost, turn right onto Bornaische Straße, at the turning main road (towards Wachau) the extended Bornaische Straße leads straight ahead to Lake Markkleeberg.
Parking spaces are available near the lake on the lake promenade in Markkleeberg-Ost.
Tram line 11 from Leipzig takes you to within 350 meters of the lakeside promenade in Markkleeberg-Ost. Stop: Schillerplatz (Markkleeberg-Ost), approximately a 5-minute walk along Bornaische Straße.
Or from Leipzig main station with S4 towards Markkleeberg-Gaschwitz to Markkleeberg S-Bahn station, bus 106 towards Böhlen to Seepromenade Markkleeberg or to Störmthaler See Vineta
