In addition to the many cross-country trails in the spa town of Bad Lausick, a hike through the Colditz Forest is also recommended. Together with the neighboring Glasten Forest, it forms one of Saxony's largest forest areas. The source of the Parthe River is located in the middle of the forest. After the half-day tour, you can recharge your batteries in the pools and spacious sauna area of the RIFF leisure pool.

Directions
On Badstrasse, walk right towards the town centre. Before the railway bridge, turn left into Heinrich-Heine-Strasse and behind the railway line, turn left into Reichersdorfer Strasse. Follow this to the pond and then turn left into Alte Buchheimer Strasse until you reach Buchheim. Shortly before the end of the town, the route leads left over Ziegeleiweg and then right into the Colditzer Forest. At the Kohlflügelweg junction, turn left and walk to the B 176. For about 300m, turn right along the B 176, then left into the forest. At the next fork in the road (junction with 5 branches), the left path leads back at a sharp angle for about 100m to the Parthequelle. After visiting it, go back to the junction and keep left until you reach the asphalt road from Schönbach to Glasten. Turn left until you reach Glasten. There, keep left again and follow the path towards Bad Lausick. At the end of the town, the former railway embankment takes you back to Bad Lausick. You leave the former railway line shortly before Bad Lausick to the right and reach the starting point Badstraße again via the path at the sports field.
