The route from Beucha to Wurzen passes steep quarries and through the Planitzwald forest.

On the route from Beucha to Wurzen, hikers cross the Brandiser Forest and the Planitz Forest. Several steep quarries and historical relics become visible. On the last section, between Schmölen and Dehnitz, a ferry crosses.

Directions

The route starts at the train station in Beucha, behind you is the Kirchbruch Beucha. The path takes you to the town of Waldsteinberg past the Westbruch. From the Westbruch you go along the Kammweg to the Ostbruch. You continue the hike through the Brandiser Forest on the forest path and ring path and finally take the path Am Teich to Polenz. You walk along Altenhainer Straße into the Planitzwald. In the Planitzwald, head north-east towards Schmölen. In the Planitzwald, keep straight at a six-way and four-way intersection. In Schmölen, take the Ruffähre across the Mulde to Dehnitz. In Dehnitz, the cycle path takes you over the Mühlbach and finally the road at Wachtelberg and Dehnitzer Weg into the town of Wurzen.
