Water sports providers, restaurants, cafes, etc. have settled here. The Scandinavian-style port of Zöbigker exudes a very special flair. The dune-like sandy beach on the north bank is also known as the longest sandy beach in Saxony. In the south, the Bistumshöhe observation tower offers a fascinating view over the Neue Harth forest area. Lake Cospuden can be walked around on an asphalted shore path.

Directions
The circular hiking trail around Lake Cospuden begins at Kees' Park in Markkleeberg. You follow the Lauerschen Weg in the north of the lake. You cross the route of the Leipzig Green Ring and keep left on the asphalt path to continue the lake circular trail. When the Lauerschen Weg turns right, keep left again and continue to follow the shore path. The long straight on the west side of the lake eventually leads you to the Bistumshöhe observation tower in the south of Lake Cospuden. A view of the lake landscape is always worthwhile. In the south you pass the bison enclosure and continue to follow the asphalt path until you reach the Zöbigker harbor. After a short climb, turn left there to get to the east bank path. You pass the east beach and the Seehaus Cospuden until you reach the north beach and the starting point on a longer straight on the east bank path.
