The Schladitzer See in the north of Leipzig is part of a recreational area that was created from the recultivation of a former large open-cast mine. The beach at Schladitzer Bucht, the Biedermeier beach and the Wolteritzer See side now invite you to go swimming. The asphalted circular path around the lake is ideal for hiking, cycling and even skating.
