In the Leipzig region, the Mulde Cycle Route is a long-distance cycle route starting at Roßwein on the Freiburg Mulde via Döbeln and Colditz, where the river arm joins the Zwickauer Mulde, to Grimma.

The cycle path leads along the banks of the Mulde through varied landscapes and past majestic castles and palaces. Due to its hilly terrain, the route is suitable for cyclists with demanding fitness levels.

Directions

The cycle path begins in Döbeln or, for those who want to cycle a little further, in Niederstriegis. From there it goes along the Freiberger Mulde via Westewitz and Klosterbuch to Leisnig. In Sermuth, which we pass next, the Freiberger and Zwickauer Mulde flow together. From now on, the route continues along the Vereinigte Mulde via Großbothen to Grimma.
