Let's take a detour to the old town of Wurzen, which is worth seeing. We follow the road into town from the direction of Grimma and drive through the railway underpass. Then we turn right and immediately left again. The museum with the Ringelnatz collection or the St. Wenceslai church are worth a visit. We cross the town centre and keep diagonally left on the cycle path that runs along the right side of the town park, so we get back to the route. Now we go straight on for 7 kilometres on the cycle path that runs alongside the road to Thallwitz. Immediately at the entrance to the town we turn right, and the next two junctions we go along on the left. We now cross the main road again and note the Thallwitz Castle on the left with its extensive park. We follow the road to Kollau. From here we follow the main road, which is concreted from the outskirts of the town. The path leads through an extensive nature reserve. With a bit of luck we can spot storks here in the summer months. We then drive towards the main road B 87 and finally under it or through a railway underpass and find ourselves in Eilenburg.
