You won't be disappointed in the first few kilometers. From Bad Düben, the Mulde cycle path leads along the large Goitzschesee, where you can already take your first swim - so be sure to pack your swimwear in summer. Shortly afterwards, you pass the Muldenstein pipeworks, an interesting lost place right on the Mulde. The cycle path and through smaller towns then continue to Ferropolis, a centerpiece of industrial culture. Be sure to allow some time for this, there is a lot to see! The cycle paths around Ferropolis are also well developed and also recommended for racing cyclists. Then it's time to let off some steam and head into the forest. The Düben Heath is an experience in every season; in summer the shade is very welcome, but in autumn it impresses with its wonderful colors. The route follows the well-signposted Berlin-Leipzig cycle path for a while, and gravel lovers will get their money's worth. (Depending on the weather and the width of your tires, it is better to stay on the main paths here.) If you want to jump into the cool water again, you can do so shortly before the finish in the Hammermühle natural swimming pool, before getting ice cream or chips back in Bad Düben at the latest.
Alternatively, in autumn or winter you can warm up and relax in the Heide Spa in Bad Düben.
Conclusion: This tour is definitely a full day, apart from the 80 kilometers of cycling there is so much to discover and do that there is hardly enough time.
