The route leads along extensive fruit orchards for about 30 kilometers, where tens of thousands of tons of pome, stone, and berry fruits ripen every year. The cold storage house in Dürrweitzschen, the heart of storage, sorting, packaging, and marketing of the fruit, provides insights into the current production processes.
