Biodiversity and diversity are the trademarks of the Parthenaue. At every bend in the path, hikers can enjoy exciting views of a varied forest, meadow and field area with valley floodplains and moraine hills. Two natural monuments and almost 60 protected biotopes are an expression of the diverse habitats with a rich stock of plants and animals worthy of protection. The Parthe hiking trail leads through hospitable villages and towns with their cultural offerings and is a true natural refuge.

Directions
From Mariannenpark with its large park lawn, the castle and the Schönefeld Memorial Church, the path leads out of the city of Leipzig along the Parthe through Abtnauendorfer Park with its castle and old trees and the idyllic pond towards Taucha. The small town surprises with medieval remains of the city wall, the manor castle and a former brewery from the Renaissance period, which today houses the city museum, the city library and a restaurant. From the observation tower in the city park, you can once again enjoy a wide view of the city and the Parthenaue. From here, the path continues in a southeasterly direction to Borsdorf and then on to Beucha.
