Directions

The tour starts at the Vereinigte Mulde in Grimma on Friedrich Oettler Straße (near Grimma Castle). From the starting point, cross the bridge over the Vereinigte Mulde, then turn right and follow the bank of the Mulde. Follow the path until you reach the suspension bridge and the Hotel Gattersburg. Then keep right and enter the city forest. A short time later, the path leads to the Muldetal hiking trail Freiberger Mulde. Continue along the bank past the chainsaw sculpture to the Höfgen ship mill. On the left is the restaurant of the Erlebnishotel zur Schiffsmühle. The beer garden invites you to take a short break. Then continue along the river bank to the next bridge. Turn left at the bridge. Then it goes through pretty Höfgen, past the fortified church to the Höfgen Watermill Museum. Before the museum, turn right and follow the path. The route continues along the Mulde until just before Förstgen. Here, turn onto Vierhäuserweg until Förstgen.
