Billi Bockert, the heath beaver, is the mascot of the Düben Heath Nature Park. He explains nature to young and young-at-heart hikers and encourages them to observe and explore. The Billi Bockert tour starts at the Nature Park House in Bad Düben, and ends at the Hammerbach Hut at the charcoal kiln. Family-friendly and designed especially for children, the hike offers plenty of variety. The hike can be divided into several sections.
The panels explain the following topics: wilderness, town, life on the Mulde, through forests and moors, the mill clatters on the Hammerbach, Billi gets a visit, life in the Hammerbach valley, the thunderstorm on the meadow, a festival at the beaver castle, the beaver castle, night hikes and forays through the heath.
