Lortzing Festival from 24 April - 3 May 2026 in Leipzig
To mark the 225th anniversary of Albert Lortzing's birth and 175th anniversary of his death, the Lortzing Festival will take place in Leipzig from 24 April to 3 May 2026. In addition to Lortzing's well-known operas, lesser-known works by the former Leipzig composer will also be presented, making it possible to approach Lortzing's life and work from other perspectives.
