At Buchkinder Leipzig e.V. children and teenagers from 4 to 18 years become authors, illustrators and bookbinders.
The imagination of children is practically unlimited and the worlds they create are more colourful, extraordinary and adventurous than adults can ever imagine. Buchkinder Leipzig e.V. gives young storytellers a voice and a platform to share their stories with the world.
Children and young people aged 4 to 18 years develop their own books here, all the way from the story and illustration to printing and the finished binding. In every step they are accompanied by adults, but their imagination is never reigned in. The finished books are sold in small editions. The resulting publications bring smiles and amazement to viewers and give the young authors a great sense of achievement and self-confidence in their own creative voice.
