LOFFT - DAS THEATER is a nationally and internationally recognised production and performance venue for independent performing arts in Leipzig. Plays, dances, and performances are produced and presented here. As a production house, LOFFT provides the stage for the most recent artistic projects and cooperates with numerous artists, theatres and festivals in Leipzig, Germany and throughout Europe.
In March 2019 LOFFT - THE THEATER opened its new venue at the Spinnerei Leipzig. After spectacular reconstruction, a theatre has been created on the famous Spinnerei grounds that is not only visually stunning. 200 spectators now fit into the venue, which with its loft-like character and high-quality theatre stages has already captivated many a spectator.
A fascinating programme with artists from all over the world makes Leipzig a magnet for contemporary art. Besides providing great entertainment, the Leipzig theatre LOFFT also focuses on controversial social topics. A new barrier-free room for art and its audience high above the roofs of the Pleissen metropolis.
