Zitzschen Village Church

Short facts

The village church was built between 1792 and 1796.

The village church in Zitzschen underwent numerous renovations. The church tower was renovated in 1832. About 60 years later the main section of the church was renovated. The renovations to the tower steeple and ceiling paintings were finished in 1999. Something special is hidden inside the church. There is a Trampeli organ built by the brothers Johann Gottlob and Christian Wilhelm Trampeli. It is one of the largest Trampeli organs to still exist mostly in its original form.
