Messehof Arcade (Petersstraße/Neumarkt)

Short facts

  • Leipzig
  • Pedestrian zone, Retail,…

The Messehof Arcade is one of the more recent arcades in Leipzig. It runs between Neumarkt and Petersstraße.

Opened in 1950 for the autumn fair, the Messehof was the first completely new exhibition building of the post-war period. Inside the 80-metre long shopping promenade was redesigned in 2006. In the hall at the entrance to Petersstraße, the illuminated mushroom-shaped marble column is reminiscent of the old arcade.

The Messehof Arcade is connected to the Königshaus Arcade via the Mädler Passage.
