During UEFA EURO 2024™, the Stadium of Dreams in Leipzig Zoo will offer a varied supporting programme.

During a four-week programme of art, culture, sports and sustainability in Leipzig Zoo's Concert Garden that includes Public Viewings of German National Team matches, the "Stadium of Dreams" (7 June to 7 July) will provide a place for Leipzig residents and guests of the city to meet and hang out during the summer of football. To complement the large Fan Zone at Augustusplatz, the "Stadium of Dreams" will offer a sports area, entertainment, discussion panels, exhibits and much more. When designing the programme, organisers focused on involving local sports and culture partners and on sustainable and inclusive projects.

The "Stadium of Dreams" is open daily from 9 am into the evening hours in the Leipzig Zoo's Concert Garden. It is organised by the booster club Sportstadt Leipzig e. V. The "Stadium of Dreams" concept is sponsored by the EURO 2024 Foundation for Football and Culture and can be found in individual designs in eight of the ten host cities. The "Stadium of Dreams" in Leipzig will open on 7 June with a kick-off event organised by Leipzig Zoo where players and fans of the Zoo European Championship will celebrate the start of the Zookeeper's Football Tournament (8/9 June 2024). Furthermore, the new football bench designed by the Neo Rauch Graphics Foundation and Novo-Tech GmbH will also be installed on the first day. It will serve as a photo location in the "Stadium of Dreams" and will remain in Leipzig Zoo even after EURO 2024 has come to an end.

A varied family programme from 9 am to 4 pm

From 9 am to about 4 pm daily, guests are welcome to come along to the sports and gymnastics arena and join in a variety of activities including foosball, football darts and subsoccer as well as modules of the International German Gymnastics Festival. Children and families are particularly welcome. There will also be an opportunity to try out the sport of teqball at two tables, partly with instruction from professionals. Street racket will be on the schedule every Friday and Saturday.

To celebrate 100 years of the popular foosball brand Tipp-Kick, three large and several small foosball tables will be available. The Stadt Leipzig e. V. football club will be organising tournaments here in connection with the Kinderferienpass (children's holiday pass). For all four weeks, three artistic and cultural projects will also be on display. These include initial pictures from the coming exhibition "Faces of a Generation" by Corina Ries and artistically designed seating furniture that invites guests to relax for a while. The Zentrum deutsche Sportgeschichte e. V. (Centre for German Sports History) will be presenting an exhibit entitled "Under the Lens of State Power. The Surveillance and Monitoring of Football in Photos from the GDR Security system".

Varied evening programme from 5:30 pm

From 5:30 pm into the late hours of the evening, a variety of entertainment will be offered on stage including concerts, panel discussions, quizzes, readings and theatre. The wide range of events includes "KUNST | Rasen" by the Cammerspiele Leipzig (reading with live music and guest discussion), the "Kick & Sing" sing-along night and karaoke for kids with Neo Kaliske, "Privacy Jam" (fashion, live painting and beats on the topic of data theft), the "17-Ziele-Mobil" ("17-target-mobile" with questions and answers on sustainability) and "Wir sind die Fans!" ("We are the fans!" – a project by schoolchildren from the Helmholtz School).

Inclusive and accessible Public Viewings of matches in the Stadium of Dreams

For all EURO matches played at Leipzig Stadium, Public Viewings will take place in the "Stadium of Dreams". The screenings of the Germany matches are organised inclusively, meaning they are accessible and guide dogs are permitted. A system for audio description and a sign-language interpreter ensure everyone can experience the full excitement of the German National Team's matches.

Admission to the Concert Garden before 5:30 pm requires the purchase of a zoo ticket. After 5:30 pm, entry is free for visitors to the "Stadium of Dreams" with a Zero-Euro ticket. We recommend reserving these free tickets in advance via the Leipzig Zoo's online ticket shop.
