Maiorano + Wax Head

Maiorano delivers a blend of rootsy, sun-drenched pop infused with soul, funk, and groovy nostalgia. Fronted by Italian-born singer and guitarist Alex Maiorano, the band features Alessio D’Alessandro (drums), Nicola Battistelli (sax/keys), Mauro Martinez (bass/guitar), and Emiliano Salvatore (guitar). Their sound is driven by Alex’s warm, laid-back vocals, reverb-soaked clean guitars, a tight rhythm section, and subtle, emotional sax lines. Based in Berlin, they have built a strong local reputation, toured selectively across Europe with Say She She and Bobby Oroza, and supported numerous international acts. Their third album, Café Dreams (Irma Records), confirms their signature sound with sun-drenched grooves and soulful melodies.

Formed in 2023, the band built a reputation for their wild live shows and relentless energy. Their debut EP, Salt Fat Acid Heat (2023, Sour Grapes Records), put them on the map, leading to gigs with Flat Worms, Frankie and The Witch Fingers, Meatbodies, Melts and Manchester Psych Fest.
