Doorkeeper's apartment in the church of St. Aegidien Oschatz

  • Viewpoint/viewing tower
Visible from afar, the 75-meter-high double-towered St. Aegidien Church towers over the town of Oschatz.
The tower keeper and his family used to live in the south tower of the church. This historic tower keeper's dwelling can be reached via 199 steps and is well worth a visit. The climb is rewarded with a "Schälchen Heeßen" and a fascinating view of the town of Oschatz and the surrounding region.
